A Minor Permit is reviewed by CZM staff in light of CZM goals and policies, as well as zoning and earth change requirements. An inspector will generally make a site visit to verify the maps and plans with the actual land contours. Within sixty (60) working days (usually less) the Commissioner will approve or deny the application based upon the recommendation by the Director of CZM. If the Commissioner denies an application for a minor permit, the applicant must be informed of the reason for denial. Any applicant or aggrieved person has the opportunity to appeal any decision made by the Commissioner or the CZM Commission on minor and major permits respectively within 45 days after the decision becomes final. The Board of Land Use Appeal (BLUA) is empowered to affirm, reverse, modify or deny the decision. |
